Pay attention to details when producing alloy castings
In recent years, there have been more and more alloy die-casting manufacturers, and in the era of rapid technological development, mechanical equipment is constantly being updated and replaced. The shortage of mechanical castings is increasing, which is why there are so many die-casting manufacturers.
The main defect is the presence of protruding bubbles on the surface of the mold. Exposed after polishing or machining after fuel injection or electroplating.
The cause of bubbling defects in castings is mainly caused by pores and shrinkage mechanisms, with pores often appearing circular and irregular in shrinkage. The formation of pores is due to the invasion of volatile gases from the coating on the inner surface or pores of castings during the filling and solidification process of molten metal.
During solidification, the gas content in the alloy liquid is too high.
When the gas inside the cavity is emitted by the paint and solidified by the alloy, the pores formed in the casting can remain when the mold is depleted.
Zinc alloy die castings are widely used in various aspects such as decoration, furniture accessories, building decoration, bathroom accessories, lighting accessories, toys, tie clips, belt buckles, metal buckles, and high requirements for casting surface quality, requiring a good surface treatment. The common defect in zinc alloy die castings is surface foaming.
The reason for shrinkage is due to the decrease in volume or final solidification position during the solidification process of the metal liquid, which causes the liquid to shrink.
Uneven thickness of castings or local overheating of castings can cause slow solidification in certain areas, resulting in volume shrinkage and surface depression.
Due to the presence of pores and shrinkage during surface treatment of castings, the holes can enter the water baking paint and post plating baking. The quality of die castings depends on the precision of the processing equipment, and the gas inside the holes expands due to heat; Or the water inside the hole can change the volume expansion of steam, leading to bubbling on the surface of the casting.
